Endless Journeys
ENVIRONMENT
Bulgaria
Bulgaria is a medium-sized Slavic country (110,994 square kilometers) bordered by the Black Sea to the east, and Turkey to the south. Its location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia has led it to serve as the staging ground for multiple cultural and strategic shifts over the past centuries and millennia.
ENVIRONMENT
Landmarks
Before a time of GPS and travel maps, landmarks played an important role for travelers. These places of interest were used as a way of knowing where they are, and which way to go. Thanks to today's technology we no longer have to rely on this method of travel. However, these landmarks still stand as a unique monument of history's past and times present.
CITIES
Romanian Cities
Romania, known for its beautiful forested regions and mountain ranges, is also home to many preserved historical cities. Many of them feature buildings and landmarks that have stood there for many years, but also are home to a variety of different Soviet-era homes and apartment blocks.
CITIES
Bulgarian Cities
We'd like to focus on another region of our upcoming Road to the Black Sea map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Bulgaria. The new DLC will provide you with scenic routes through the countryside, cities, industrial areas, and large seaports that Bulgaria is well known for.
CITIES
Turkish Cities
From cities filled with culture, industries, and history to tiny villages nestled in the mountains. The Trakya region of Turkey is the gateway to Istanbul, is Europe's largest city by population, and also the largest city among our sim-games. As you travel towards the city you will begin to see a mix of past and present infrastructure, such as historical landmarks found near rising modern apartment buildings.
ROAD NETWORK
Border Crossings
Across most of Europe, you will find that a majority of countries share open inter-state borders as part of the Schengen Agreement. This allows for a free flow of people and an easier flow of goods between nations, which makes those long-haul journeys a little bit easier; however entry for the Balkans region from Hungary into Romania is much stricter.
MEDIA AND PRESS
EXPANSION DESCRIPTION
Road to the Black Sea brings three new European regions. Drivers will be able to expand their company and deliver to the countries of Romania, known for the forested region of Transylvania and the surrounding Carpathian Mountain range, Bulgaria with its diverse terrain and Black Sea coastline, and the Trakya region of Turkey which is the gateway to Europe's largest city, Istanbul.
