Despite covering just 103,000 km², this island nation offers an astonishing variety of natural wonders: towering volcanoes, vast glaciers, black sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, dramatic craters, and more, making it a dream location for visitors around the world. Now, you have the chance to experience it all from behind the wheel of your truck.

Whether you're from the Land of Fire and Ice, have visited Iceland, or just know your geography well, we think you might recognize some of the real-world locations featured in these screenshots. Our map designers are working hard to bring this expansion to life with a big attention to detail.

Churches
Starting off with the Hallgrímskirkja in the capital city of Reykjavík, built in the 20th century. This church has a lot of superlatives. Its tower is 73 metres tall, the largest in the country, and it is also home to Iceland's largest organ. While you won't be able to see it up close, it is an unmistakable part of the Reykjavík skyline.

Nature - Coastline
Along Iceland's nearly 5,000 kilometres of coastline, you can see where this country got its nickname, as it is literally shaped by fire and ice. Steep cliffs rise above deep fjords carved by glaciers during the last ice age, while black-sand beaches stretch along the shore, formed by centuries of volcanic activity.

These glacier-carved inlets are an integral part of the Land of Fire and Ice landscape. They can be found in various locations around the island and are filled with wildlife, towering cliffs, and centuries-old fishing villages. Capturing Iceland's stunning fjords on our scale presented a unique challenge. In reality, these vast landscapes stretch for kilometers, but at a reduced in-game scale, we needed to carefully balance realism with gameplay so they preserve their breathtaking character and don't lose the sense of grandeur that makes them so iconic.
INDUSTRY
Custom Depots
The largest one is a landmark depot of a silicon metal factory, which is an accurate 1:1 copy of the real-world facility found in this location. This will be the home of a new virtual company called Kísilverksmiðja, producing silicon metal, which is used in a wide variety of applications in the chemical industry, production of silicones and silanes, or high-strength aluminium alloys for the automotive industry.
CITIES
Keflavík
For millions of travellers each year, Keflavík marks both the beginning and end of their journey in Iceland. The town is home to the Reykjavík–Keflavík Airport, the country’s main international hub, located just outside the town. We made sure to include this key location as an industry, as it also handles a large share of the island’s cargo. Drivers headed for the airport, will see the airport terminal in the distance before being directed to the cargo terminal, where you'll pick up or deliver jobs.
CITIES
Akureyri
Akureyri is the fourth-largest city in Iceland and is often referred to as the Capital of the North due to its location and importance to the region. Nestled on the shores of Eyjafjörður, Iceland's longest fjord, the town enjoys a spectacular setting beneath snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Glerá River flowing through its heart.
ROAD NETWORK
Ring Road
Driving along Route 1 offers a chance to experience some of Iceland’s most iconic sights. From the roadside, you can get a glimpse of the spectacular Seljalandsfoss waterfall, pass through the coastal village of Vík, admire the icy beauty of Jökulsárlón lagoon, wind your way through the dramatic Eastern Fjords, and continue past the volcanic landscapes surrounding Lake Mývatn. Countless rivers, lakes, and valleys accompany the journey, ensuring every stretch of the road has something unique to offer. This is just a short list of the cities and landmarks you will encounter along the way!
